The Connemara Conservancy Foundation (CCF) was created in 1981 when Frances
Williams donated her family’s beloved 72-acre meadow for public use as
the Foundations's initial property under a Conservation Land Trust.
For several years, the Foundation focused much of its work on education
programs in the meadow until Mrs. Williams and the Connemara Board of Trustees
identified a need to expand the conservation efforts to include more tracts
of land in North Texas.
Today, the Connemara Conservancy Foundation's
various land trusts oversee over 3500 acres of North Texas land falling
under its purview. The CCF is a member of the National Land Trust Alliance,
the Texas Land Trust Alliance and the Center for Nonprofit Management.
Our showpiece property continues to be The Meadow Preserve, although it
is commonly, but incorrectly, referred to as Connemara. |
