If you want to look it up on Google, iPad or iPhone or GPS, the best way is to put in the street address
300 Tatum Rd, Allen, TX.
The Meadow Preserve Entrance and Parking is directly across the street (Alma) from this address.

The Meadow Preserve is locked except for public events at which time,
the gate will be unlocked at least 15 minutes prior to the event.

Members may enter at any time.

Facts and Directions:

Location:

Parking lot at Main Entrance - at Alma, South of Bethany Drive in Allen.

Please park ONLY in the Alma Entrance parking lot.
DO NOT drive on any of the other roads - they are private property.

Access:

Currently closed to public except for special events. Members may use any time.

Trails:

Roughly mowed, Not paved, Surrounded by tall grasses most of year.

Facilities:

A port-o-let is available on site.

Gates Open:

15 minutes before scheduled events.

Ages:

All ages welcome on guided walks and familiy acitivies.

On work days (e.g., restoration, trash removal), the minimum age is 10.

What to Bring:

Binoculars for bird watching, Gloves for work days, Water always.

What to Wear:

 

    On Walks:

Long pants, Closed-toe shoes, Bug spray, Sunscreen or Hat in all seasons.

    On Work Days:

Sturdy shoes, Bug spray, Hat, Layered clothing - Long pants, Long-sleeved shirt.

Directions: From Highway 75 --
Exit Bethany Drive and go west approximately 1 mile.
Turn left (south) onto Alma Drive.
Take the next left though the open gate.
(If you reach Hedgcoxe and Tom Thumb, you have gone too far.)
Park to the left of the entrance.

No facilities are available on the property.

Elevation Changes and Distances --
There is a gentle increase in elevation from the lower meadow to the upper meadow (582 to 630 feet).

Approximate Distances:
• From parking lot to entrance: 1/4 mile
• Lower Meadow loop: 1 mile
• Upper Meadow loop: 1/2 mile
