Usage Policy

The Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve is open to the public daily from dawn to dusk.


  1. May enter through the Alma gate any time (map)
    between dawn and dusk.
  2. If you unlock the gate, you are responsible for
    locking it behind you when you enter or leave.
  3. Do NOT leave the gate open and unlocked
    while you are on the property.
  4. Thanks for your Membership and enjoy your stay!!

General Public

  1. Public access to the Connemara Nature Preserve is via a trail at the back of Suncreek Park in Allen. (map)
  2. If you enjoy the Meadow Nature Preserve, please consider becoming a member

Because wildlife is affected up to 200 feet on either side of a trail used by humans, we ask you to please remember:

  • Enjoy the natural setting
  • Be conscious of others’ enjoyment
  • Carry out what you carry in (no littering)
  • Access by foot traffic only (no bicycles or motorized vehicles), except strollers or wheelchairs
  • Restrain from activities that would trample off-path vegetation
  • Do not harm or harass wildlife
  • No unauthorized persons during nighttime hours
  • No unauthorized changes made to the natural landscape (including removal or placement of any animal, plant, insect, chemical or object).
    Yes, this includes seed and plant collection and harvesting. Seeds and plants collected this year will not be available as flowers next year. Thanks
  • It goes without saying, but evidently it has to be said anyway, please do not vandalize the property. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • No smoking, fireworks or open fires
    • No conduct that causes injury, harm, danger or damage to any person or the property
    • No unauthorized possession or use of weapons of any kind
    • No unauthorized trapping or hunting
    • No destruction or defacing signage
